Abusive and neglectful mothers and fathers who relinquish their parental rights are still obligated to pay child support, according to the West Virginia Supreme Court.
Note: Anything these SOB's can pull to suck the parents dry...
Another example of a filthy, disgusting foster hell house. This is where children who have been kidnapped and are being "protected" get sent. To live with people who don't love them, people who are in it for the money, or worse. CPS says they try to put children with relatives, but that is just another lie. CPS is one big lie. Get mad, and do something - before they steal your children. This is new world order tyranny at its worst.

Gov. Rick Perry came to San Antonio at the beginning of the legislative session in 2005 to announce a major reform of the state's Child Protective Services. In the months leading up to the announcement, a number of child deaths that resulted from abuse — including several in Bexar County — shocked Texans.

No one would ever think that taking photos of their child would actually get them in trouble with the police, but this was not the case of a West Jordan mom who got her house ransacked and her computer confiscated for taking photos of her five year-old daughter dressed as the Little Mermaid.

Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning on Wednesday backed off of an earlier position that the state shouldn't be liable for any damage a 12-year-old girl may have suffered after having sex with a 17-year-old boy placed in foster care in her home because she told police the sex was consensual.
The former finance director of South Carolina's social services agency pleaded guilty Thursday to stealing more than $5 million from the agency, money he has said he spent on alcohol, gambling and strippers.
As many as half a million Australian children were placed in institutions and foster care throughout the 20th century. Many were wards of the state, under the direct guardianship of state welfare departments, which often failed to protect them from physical, emotional and sexual abuse, despite annual inspections of institutions and legislation that often precluded the use of corporal punishment.
A former supervisor assigned to investigate fraud in New York City's child services agency has been sentenced to nearly three years in prison.
Some mid-state foster children will no longer enter the system with trash bags full of belongings thanks to Operation Suitcase...
Note: Ok people! This is what we call bullshit, ie. CPS Propaganda and misinformation.
Although there are kind hearted people out there who choose to try to make a difference for children going into foster care and their work should be commended, to flat out state it this way, as is done in this particular article, is twisting the truth just a wee bit, wouldn't you think? This article is a diversionary tactic used by the Child Protective Industry to take the focus off the children caught up in the system by glorifying those who are doing small things to make a difference, giving off the misleading appearance that the system works in the best interest of the children.
This article is designed to divert your attention to trivialities while they continue to operate behind the scenes. A way to raise awareness by mentioning the children, yet pulling the wool over your eyes because you now know that there are people out there working to make it all better.
Now, to be honest, I do applaud this person's efforts to make a difference. In fact, more people should follow her example. Little things do add up. My issue is entirely with the presentation of this article. It's like some reporter had nothing better to do and get some attention diverting PR for the system. Nevermind the kids who were wrongfully removed. Forget about those who were torn away from everything they know. Don't worry about the kids who are bounced from home to home. Don't even bother yourself about the bullshit reasons that half of these kids were thrown into the system in the first place, this makes it all better.
During Curry's quest to become a foster parent, she learned the very things most of us never take the time to notice - could mean the world to thousands of children who enter the foster system.
I'll just bet that some worker shows up at the home and says, "Hey Munchkin! I got a present for ya!" just before being thrown into foster care too, right?
Come on people, open your eyes. Most people out their don't have a clue. They see an article like this and are suddenly "informed." They don't question it. Others are worrying about it all so that they don't have to.
It's all in the presentation folks. Reality is half created by the media these days.
Now there is this social worker whose blog I've been following. She recently put on her blog an exercise that she went through in a training. It takes place over multiple posts. Lasted a couple of days. When she wrote her personal experience she said something that hit me...
And oh my gosh - number 9. I have been in this situation before. I have had children call me for months on end - long after I ceased to be their social worker anymore - asking me if I'd found their stuffed animal, the one they'd had since they were a baby. That right there would make me quit my job.
Now, follow through the whole training. You'll see my point. I'm linking to this only because I think that SocialWrkr24/7 does a much better job of demonstrating what these kids go through.

Steven Hassan remembers reflecting on his own brainwashing experience the day two planes slammed into the World Trade Center.
Note: And CPS does the same thing to foster children. Brainwashing, when successfully done, helps to speed up the parental alienation process, prepping the child for adoption. And if it fails, they medicate them.

Most Oregon foster parents are getting a big raise from the state, part of a compensation overhaul that officials hope will encourage more adults to become foster parents.
But the change hasn't been good for everybody. Some foster parents who care for some of the sickest children are facing deep cuts and are threatening to quit.

We hear it in homes, in grocery stores, and in schools. We hear it in public parks and on playgrounds. Sometimes we even hear it in churches. What is it? Constantly yelling at children! Is it necessary? Is it an effective form of discipline or is it damaging to children?

David Lane, attorney for Balloon Boy dad Richard Heene, says he doesn't have enough fingers to plug all the info leaks coming from the office of Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden. On Friday, Alderden released documents showing that Mayumi Heene, Mrs. Balloon Boy, had confessed that the whole runaway balloon tale had been cooked up for publicity purposes two weeks before it happened. It was a move guaranteed to get under a defense lawyer's skin, and it certainly did in this case. "It's clear that the sheriff is intent on getting this family convicted in the press," Lane says.

Two teen-agers say their foster parents locked them and nine other children in cages and subjected them to "heinous abuse," and placement agencies and county officials should have known it. The parents made $100,000 a year as foster parents - the father quit his job, saying, "These kids pay well" - while they locked one boy in a cage for 30 days "around the clock," made him stay in a bathroom for 81 days, and subjected the kids to "unthinkable" abuse, according to the complaint.
This is an emergency notification regarding yet another arrest and incarceration of Kay Henson by her probation officer in the Walworth County jail. Kay is on probation because she spanked her ten year old son with her hand and was charged with felony child abuse. Upon the advice of counsel, she pled guilty to simple battery and was placed on probation (yes, she regrets it). PO Eileen has repeatedly violated Kay's probation for specious reasons unrelated to the terms of her probation for the retaliatory purposes of throwing Kay in jail. That's the reaction from a top state official to a nationwide report released by a nonprofit organization Wednesday on child abuse and neglect. Florida Department of Children and Families Secretary George Sheldon today announced the creation of a group to evaluate the department’s push to reduce the number of children in foster care and find them permanent homes.

Florida's "failing grade" on a national report card should serve not as a sign of defeat, but a commitment to improve the way the state serves juveniles in the state welfare system. The grade ranked all 50 states on the protections of the legal rights of abused and neglected children. Florida, the study found, needed improvement in its requirement that attorneys represent abused and neglected children throughout the court cases, and the level of training those advocates receive. Authors found that thousands of children didn't receive a guardian ad litem, and even those who had one didn't have representation from initial detention until they were permanently placed.

The Ellenville Central School District is currently embroiled in a legal conflict at the federal level with two district parents, Sandra and Donald Oglesby, who've brought a civil suit against the school over claims that the district violated their civil rights as parents of special-needs children.
The conflict has arisen from the parents' allegations that the school district has a 'policy of retaliation' against those who complain to the school about teachers or staff. In this instance, the school reported the parents to New York State Child Protective Services (CPS), which investigated the parents for alleged abuse of their adopted special-needs children — an investigation that revealed no abuse by the Oglesbys upon its conclusion.

Protests planned for October 26-27 in Texarkana to free children of Tony Alamo Church parents
If you can go please do. I don't usually post entire articles, but this is a special case.
Bill Medvecky of Free the FLDS Children and Tom Friess of Inquisition Update have announced in the comments section of Bill Medvecky's website that they are planning a protest in front of the courthouse in Texarkana, Arkansas on October 26 and 27. On Monday the 26th the court will be holding hearings as to whether or not the parental rights of three families who are members of the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries Church in Fouke, Arkanasas should be terminated and their children put up for adoption.
The three families involved are the Seago, Krantz and Thorne families. Ten children are involved in these hearings. On Tuesday another eight children's cases will be heard. All of these children were seized by the Arkansas Department of Human Services a year ago and placed into foster care, simply because the parents are members of the church. The actual allegations against the parents are not serious enough to permanently terminate parental rights, are denied by the parents, and have not been proven by the Department of Human Services. The parents were told they could not be reunited with their children unless they moved off of church property and got secular jobs. The parents contend that it would violate their religious beliefs to do so.
According to Tom Freiss, he is leaving Iowa on Friday and will be happy to pick up anyone living between Iowa and Arkansas who is interested in attending the protest. Bill Medvecky is leaving Ft. Myers, Florida on Saturday morning and is travelling to Texarkana via 75 and 10 and is also willing to pick up anyone who wants to attend the protest. You can contact Tom or Bill through the email addresses they have provided in the comments section of Bill's website.
On Tuesday Judge Griffin will decide whether or not an order should go out to pick up an infant who wasn't even born when the initial raids on the Tony Alamo Church took place.
As we receive more information about the protest, we will post it here.
Meanwhile here is a video that shows how Arkansas treats mothers whose only crime is going to a church that is not approved by the state of Arkansas. Make sure you watch the whole thing. For 17-year old Kerry Robertson, what stands in her way to marriage and motherhood is her learning disabilities. Social workers already canceled her wedding to her 25-year old fiance Mark McDougall 2 days before the church ceremony. The Fife Council where Robertson lives feels that her learning disabilities render her incapable of understanding the institution of matrimony. Under such circumstances, according to Scottish Law, authorities have the right to refuse sanctioning a marriage. Her age is not a factor here because the minimum legal age for getting married is the UK is 16. Although some places require written consent from guardians of those under 18, this is not the case in Scotland where Robertson lives. Besides, Robertson’s guardian is her grandmother who doesn’t oppose the nuptials.

THE NET OF VOLUNTARY HELP TO FAMILIES SHOULD BE CAST WIDE. BUT THE NET OF COERCIVE INTERVENTION INTO FAMILIES SHOULD BE NARROW.
A couple weeks ago our beloved Brenda came across the weight loss blog of a psychotic binge eating adoptive parent who called herself Lisa Eats Too Much Pizza, and who just happened to write a horrible blog post about her adopted children. (See Leesa's WILL THEY ALLOW ANY NUT JOB TO ADOPT? post for more info on this. She did a wonderful job on this. Just can't post it enough.)
Well, because Brenda posted the link to the newsgroup, and opened the subject for discussion, this Lisa Eats Too Much Pizza bitch flips her cookies, starts harassing several members of the newsgroup, including trying to blackmail Brenda with threats of legal action which, btw, are completely frivolous because Lisa had put all this information out there to begin with.
I personally deleted everything about her in the group at Lisa Eats Too Much Pizza's request. I did try to help her, her response was more psychotic BS and threats and simply to drag me into it because I was there and cyberstalking, refusing to stop while she was a head, etc.
She joined the group under several names and started spouting off and was booted again and again. So I was forced to change the group status to start approving new members. She started sending all kinds of harassing emails to me, as well as a few other group members. She also contacted the child of one of the group members and started harassing her.
Then it came out that someone in the newsgroup was spying and sending our posts to Lisa Eats Too Much Pizza. I had my suspicions on who it was after Lisa Eats Too Much Pizza made a particular comment about the person being involved in a particular lawsuit against the American Family Rights Association. But it honestly didn't make sense, and I had no real proof until yesterday when I posted a specific message to the newsgroup called the "Lisa Eats Too Much Pizza update." I only posted this after the 20th email from this psycho that came before noon, which was nothing more then Lisa Eats Too Much Pizza bashing the hell out of and personally attacking Brenda.
Well not ten minutes later, Lisa Eats Too Much Pizza sends me back my post to the newsgroup, accusing me of being involved in some silly plot against her, only this time she forgot to remove the source info.
Here is the email address of the person who was spying on the newsgroup, sending information from the newsgroup to a person who was harassing various members of the newsgroup, and doesn't even have the guts to admit it.
That my friends is not only the source of information for the psycho, but the personal email address of none other than Donna Suzanne Shell.
So why is Suzanne Shell spying on the newsgroup and sending our posts to a harassing psycho? I don't know. I'm not going to speculate. I don't really care.
I just got the proof that she did it.
Just sharing my experience that's all.

One in seven children in Wisconsin lives in poverty. Poverty decreases academic achievement, increases health risks (due to inadequate housing and medical coverage), and decreases factors that usually protect children. The main culprit of child poverty: minimum wage.

It has been a particularly bad month for the pharmaceutical industrial complex in its ongoing litigations in American courts. Among the main pharmaceutical headlines, Merck’s Gardasil vaccine for HPV, now being widely administered to pre-teens, was found to be linked to amyltrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease; following a $1.4 billion fine in promoting one of its blockbuster drugs Zyprexa off-label, deceptive correspondence was uncovered by Eli Lilly gaming the system again by promoting another one of its drugs, Cymbalta, off-label for fibromyalgia; AstraZeneca was fined $160 million for scamming the Medicaid system in Kentucky after being fined $215 million for ripping off Alabama; Glaxo lost a Pennsylvania trial for failing to warn doctors and pregnant women of the dangers of its antidepressant drug Paxil related to birth defects; and Pfizer scored a record-breaking fine of $2.3 billion for illegally marketing several drugs over the years: Bextra, Zyvox, Geodon and Lyrica. These kinds of charges, among the many others, have become a habit for drug makers for the past dozen years.
In the idealized picture of the American heartland, baseball, mom and apple pie feature prominently. The Italian version? Soccer, spaghetti and, yes, la mamma. But in recent years, the folkloric image of the doting Italian mother has been joined in the national consciousness by something a tad less idyllic: the mammone, or mama's boy, the hyper-coddled son (daughters are statistically less susceptible) who grows up so attached to his home, and to his mamma in particular, that he never really becomes independent or a self-sufficient man.
Adolescence is a time of mandatory turbulence. But there's more to teen doldrums than growing pains, warns the author of a new study on adolescent depression and anxiety – and its insidious effects can range from poor test scores to threats to school safety.

UK justice secretary Jack Straw has recently announced plans to open up the notoriously secretive family justice system to the public gaze. The Schools and Safeguarding Children Bill, due to come before parliament in November, will include provisions to allow the social workers involved in court cases to be named by the press, and to allow more substantial reporting of the substance of the case, rather than merely being permitted to report a case’s gist.

Wisconsin’s child welfare agencies will soon have to tell us a lot more about the way they handle deaths and injuries caused by child abuse and neglect.
According to a new report that shows a sharp rise in child-abuse and neglect deaths between 2001 and 2007, Rhode Island spends more per capita — $181 — than any other state on child-welfare services aimed at preventing such deaths. South Carolina spends the least: $15 per capita.
The Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare will get $464,000 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The most important thing that Every Child Matters will not tell you today is that more children are abused and die in foster care and under the care of Child Protective Services than they are with their own family. Check out Bill Bowen's documentary Innocence Destroyed if you think that Child Protective Services does a good job protecting children.
According to KTTU.com and the Anchorage Daily News, a 52 year old resident of Quitman, Arkansas, Mark LeVrier, was arrested for sexually abusing a minor while helping her family move to Alaska. LeVrier, who once resided in Lockhart, Texas, worked for 23 years for Child Protective Services in Austin, Texas, and the police believe that he may have molested other minors.

Anthoney Conyers - Commissioner of the Virginia Dept. of Social Services, Thanks for NOT doing your JOB! It's typical to see your agency doing damage control now on youtube. The one main thing I took from it is that you feel that no matter what damage your agencies have done in the past - it's ok- because they were just doing what they were told to do. Once your agency -or an arm of your agency- takes a child ...you told me in a letter , which I will post shortly, that it's out of your hands and now in the hands of your "partner" the juvenile justice system. You basically admitted in your video and letter to me that although you are citing a need for change within DSS you are holding no one accountable and taking a "hands off" approach when dealing with the families. You didn't address the fact that there should be investigations of corrupt workers - and there are many- in places like Giles County Virginia. The story at the end was moving too - you confirmed my opinion of social workers - they all feel as if they are all powerful "redeemers" and basically think they are "God". That's our final word to you.
