N.J. study of child abuse says welfare workers overlook family problem
Child welfare workers too often overlooked family problems caused by mental illness, domestic violence, and drug and alcohol addiction before children died from abuse and neglect in 2007, according to a report issued today by the New Jersey Child Fatality and Near Fatality Review Board.
