Mental Health Problems Higher for Teens in Child Welfare

Youth with a history of involvement with the child welfare system face multiple functional and developmental risks as they transition from adolescence to young adulthood, according to researchers from Duke University and RTI International.

LK, I had to borrow this article to put on my blog. The article mentions that these young adults are having mental health issues and I say....DUH! What does CPS THINK is going to happen? That these kids are going to grow up thanking them for removing them from their families? No, the vast majority will not thank them and some, in fact, are suing their particular agency. Guess what? Some of them are actually winning it too!

Now they're saying "give them more money to blah blah blah." Yeah, that's right, give those baby stealers yet more money to remove children from safe homes, TPR parents and adopt them out. The only difference will be is that they'll "claim" they're doing "research" on these foster children. It's hard to believe that there are still some people out there too blind to see that they already have enough money and to give these blood-sucking vultures more will only cause far more serious problems down the road.
