Child Protective Services worker faces forgery charges

A former Sutter County Child Protective Services employee has been arraigned in Sutter County Superior Court on three felony charges of forging a document.

Sarah Jane Powell, 35, turned herself in Tuesday morning at the Sutter County Jail for booking and was released. No bail was set at the arraignment and Powell did not enter a plea, according to the Sutter County Clerk of Courts Office.
