A Leicestershire Women, who was Caring for her Daughters Child, under the clause of Kin carer, recently won a Judgment at the High Court.
The Local Authority were ordered to pay this Lady, the same amount of money,as a normal Foster Carer.
Many Grandparents, or Family members, who use this clause, often suffer financial hardship.
I urge all Kin carers to seek Legal advice,and reap the same rewards.
If this becomes a reality, Social Services may start to use the Public law Guidelines, that they should be adhering by anyway.
