State report says child abuse, neglect reports top 100,000
Fewer Ohio children are being removed from their home but reports of child abuse and neglect statewide have topped 100,000 for the first time, according to an annual statewide survey.
The statistics underscore concerns about Gov. Ted Strickland's state budget plan and proposed cuts in funding for child protective services.
