Grandparent that are caring for their Grandchildren, under the clause of Kincare, often suffer from financial hardship, as they only get the basic Carers rate of £75 per week,foster Carers,within the Uk get up to £500 pound a week for each child.
A Leicestershire Grandmother, recently won a judgment at the High Court in London, the Local Authority were forced to pay the Grandparents, the same amount of money, as a normal Carer.
I urge all Grandparents that are suffering financial hardship, with regards to this clause, to seek legal advice.
