DYFS: Abuse data on boy beaten to death was kept from school officials
School officials did not know of child-abuse concerns involving Jamarr Cruz, a 9-year-old boy who was fatally beaten this week, because the state agency that monitored his home life did not share that information, a representative of the Division of Youth and Family Services said Friday.
