Boy in CPS custody after near-drowning
After nearly downing Friday night, a recovering 3-year-old boy from El Mirage was not reunited with his family upon release from the hospital. Instead he was taken into custody by Child Protective Services Tuesday after an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident raised safety questions, according to El Mirage police.
