Advocates for disabled upset over LI teen's death
Autistic and mentally disabled, Annie Brown could not speak, but officials said staff at the St. Christopher's Home in Sea Cliff could tell she was having a good time at a birthday party on March 17.
"She was happy and playing and dancing," said Robert McMahon, executive director of the home's parent nonprofit, SCO Family of Services, of Glen Cove. "There were no signs of distress at all."
But later that evening the 17-year-old foster child became violently ill and died at Glen Cove Hospital.
