Woman Sentenced For Making Up Molestation Story
A woman who triggered a large-scale investigation by claiming she'd been molested by a Southington police officer will serve six months in jail for making up the story.
Michelle Ladd insisted in court Tuesday that she made the false accusation because of a threat against her life and her family's safety, and her attorney suggested she should be put on probation and get drug treatment.
