Safe haven meant kids finally got right help
The boy listened to his imaginary friends, and for years the state, doctors and his grandma failed to quiet them.
It could have been the voices that told the 11-year-old to slam his fist through a glass door, requiring 21 stitches to his arm. Maybe it was the voices talking when he told his grandma he wanted to kill her, when he threatened suicide, when he smeared his feces on a child.
