Local kids lose their Safehaven
Safehaven, a local nonprofit emergency shelter for abused and neglected children, is shutting down after serving Hampton Roads for 18 years.
City and state officials say the closure was in response to a shift in the state's foster care system that now focuses on keeping children with families.
Note: Keep it up and we'll get them all shut down.
