Neb. official to keep post on foster care board
The stateÂ’s Foster Care Review Board has agreed to retain its longtime executive director after an audit found she may have broken state law - an allegation she has denied.
Legislative auditors last month released a report saying Carol Stitt may have asked a staff member to send, during work hours, invitations to a campaign event during Tom Osborne's run for governor in 2006. State law bars Public employees from using public resources to campaign for a candidate.
