Defence continues to hammer away at police investigation of child abuse
The defence continued Monday to hammer away at the police investigation that resulted in Treena Edwards confessing to injuring her infant son.
Lawyer Bruce Willson questioned Sgt. John Zambusi — for a second day — about the techniques the veteran officer used in his Oct. 26, 2005 interrogation to illicit a confession from the woman.
Willson asked the detective why he kept speaking with Edwards after she told him a lawyer she had contacted following her arrest had indicated she shouldn’t say anything.
