Child abuse on the decline

Note: Yet still the number of children in care increases. That's got to tell you something is wrong.

Over the last decade, the number of children in out-of-home care in Australia rose by almost 115 per cent, from around 14,500 children in 1998 to 31,166 children in 2008, according to a report released today by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW).
