$30M suit filed in death of boy

A quadriplegic 9-year-old, turned over to the state by a Dearborn mother who said she could no longer afford to care for him after losing her job, starved to death while in a Department of Human Services supervised care facility, according to a $30 million lawsuit filed Monday in Wayne Circuit Court.

In the Alberta, Canada further insult to injury results in the Province's decision to statutorily cap 'award' for a child's death at $75K. Therefore, no litigator is either willing, nor able to take a case such as this; even upon 100% contingency. Not only is the child and family failed horrifically, there are no reprocussions available to end similar negligence!
